Alternatives to Fisher refills? Good in flow

The fine point fisher is also what I'm using until I can find an alternative. It's not great, but better than the stock med Fisher cartridge.
 
I actually prefer the bold point Fisher refills. They write very smooth and consistent with less blob.
Most folks like a finer line but I like em bold.
 
I'm a fan of a fine line.

Regardless... I think pens half the price of a fisher refill write 2x as nice
 
My problem with the regular fisher refills is that they are too thick. I can't turn the pen really that sideways until it stops writing. I think thin line looks better too.
 
I use a fine refil in my shuttle space pen, the fine is far superior to the medium with regards to writing quality, line consistency etc. but like another post already mentioned I find I have to mail order them.

subscribing to this thread as well. I run Schmidt Easyflow 9000 refills in a few pens and LOVE them, but I also love the carry size of my Hinderer Investigator pen.

For a few months now I've been trying to find alternative refills for my Hinderer but haven't been able to find anything that fits. I found and OLD thread where someone said a refill from a Zebra F-701 would fit. I tried but it didn't work :eek:\

Just putting this reply here in case anyone is doing research on refills for the investigator (as I was a few weeks ago). The zebra F series (301/402/701) refills DO fit with only a small amount of trimming (or removal) of the small cap at the top of the refill. I trimmed a couple coils off the included spring as well and used it in the investigator and the refill works great.

If I am not mistaken Fisher Space Pen refills are similar in size with Parker refills. Here is the refill compatibility list that I got from one of the pen websites long time ago, hopefully it will help. Lastly, some of those refills might bleed through thinner paper.
