I don't know how I have survived without this 'amazing' knife. :D I am pretty sure that they must have been cutting those food items with a 1/4 thick piece of steel with no bevel. :) I guess razor thin slices of "anything" are 1/8" thick. Anyone else catch that they tried to slice the bread with the flat of their knife? deeerp.

is it real, or just a joke?

Well some companies use ultrasonics to vibrate a tumbler or a saw like blade to cut rock . Therefore it may be possible but i doubt that it would be effective with anything soft that absorbs vibration.

Its an electric knife. They've been around for ages. Except this one has "Proprietary 'Non-Compression Sonic Separation' Technology"

Oy.

Not a new Invention and not really Sonic.
just a glorified and overmarketed electric carving knife.

I'll wait for the Kitchen Jedi Light Sabre to cut my Sammiches with......:D;)

I want one in a pancake kydex sheath with Tek-Lok.

It is cordless....so if you had to carve a turkey in the field in a survival situation, that would be an awesome setup. Though I would go with the "urban camo" coated blades.

I'm sure you can get it in Urban, Desert, Jungle and Arctic Tactical versions, with steel correspondingly resistant to rust, cold, etc. I'd also like to be able to add a lanyard, so I can use it as a necker.

I'm still waiting on a cordless smatchet with reciprocating blade. Now THAT would be beast.

If they were smart, they would market a "bushcraft" version, then a "survival" version.

Then...a toxic green "zombie" version.

They wouldn't be able to make them fast enough.

Would the bushcraft version come with build in solar-panels for charging on the go as well as a GPS locator?

The toxic-green zombie version should also come with a spring powered blade launcher for ranged capabilities.
