Hi everyone. I've been a bit ill recently so I haven't really had a chance to make anything new but I've made these recently for a colleague at work :)

I've used a piece of navy scotch grain leather for the outer shell. According to my supplier it was a surplus offcut from shoes that usually costs about £2000 (so about $3150, but I got it for free in a gift bag from my supplier! :D) and I was very happy about its quality (sadly it was a one off so I can't get them any more :( ).

Key case:

I've lined it with a fabric from Liberty (a department store in London with a haberdashery that produces its own line of patterns).

Here is the original that I bought some years back and copied. Basically if you unsnap the outer snaps the keys fall due to its weight. While the keys are tucked away in the case it stops the keys from cutting holes in trouser pockets.

And here is my coin case made from the same material.

Sorry about the bad pics and have a nice day everyone! :)

Thank you very much sir! :)

I am far from reaching your level yet but I'm taking baby steps towards it!

very nice! so this is soft pre tanned leather right? cause i am looking for some leather for my own coin bags. my grandpa used to carry such a key case.

Thanks vilepossum :)

I'm not familiar with the tanning process but yes its very soft and has a 'nap' on the reverse side of it. The flap and the underside of the snap is layered with some veg tan buffalo to give it a bit of support for the snaps to close on.
