Angle of grind on REKAT edges?

I'm trying to sharpen my Carnie Cub and it looks like it's not 30 degrees inclusive. I kind of assumed it was. Is it 40? Or is it a crapshoot like the old Benchmade edges?

If you are using a Spyderco Sharpmaker, use only the edges on the sticks, not the flats. That is the only easy way to sharpen a recurve blade..

Measuring on my Lansky, the edges on my Sifu were ground around 23.8 degrees.

My PH came with a very steep 30 or 40 degree angle. I get the feeling that this is done by hand and is kind of random.

Of course, now I've got it down to a 20 and 25 degree dual angle on my Lansky. I tried just using the 25 degree angle for a while, but it was too hard to get a sharp edge with such a large surface area between the blade and stones. Now I can almost shave with it. . . if I just had a nice leather strop to finish the job. . . Hmmmm
