What's the new "crinkle" coating made of? And how is it applied?
I can't find much info on it, but I've heard/read that it's either epoxy or teflon based.
Also, I recall reading allegations on another forum that rust can form under other manufacturer's coatings. Can that happen to a Busse?

Sherman, sorry it took so long for a reply. The coating on current model Busse knives is an epoxy coating with T.F.E. in it. Rust is like a cancer to metal. If rust is allowed to form on the cutting edge and is left alone, it could spread up the blade and under the coating. This won't happen with proper care and maintenance. Andrew
