Anyone edc a buck 110/112?

A 110 was the first knife I bought myself in my late teens...

I purchased my firs 112 in my teens.

Don’t remember what steel but it had a weird type of hollow grind and black micarta scales. The sheath was marked a little different than the one I have
now, too.

It’s replacement was purchased sometime in the early 1980’s,
IIRC. Wood scales and a standard hollow grind on the blade. I think there are dots on each side of the model number.

Maybe I will dig it out and check.

Im carrying a Buck110 since last 9 years; one of these is with me 24/7....Although I pair it with different knives, Buck110 is my main EDC, but I don’t post it’s pic as often.

The 110 never really interested me too much as I used to own an LB7 and found that too big/heavy for my tastes. I much preferred the LB5. However the back spring broke on my LB5 back in the late '90's and I never got around to sending it back to Schrade. Oh well, "you snooze, you lose".

Maybe the 112, as it's a bit smaller, but I am rather interested in the 55. I have a pocket slip that I usually carry a mini-trapper in, but I think the 55 would fit in as a nice alternative and add a bit of flair for the timid. Great, now that I've been browsing the Buck site, there's a whole pile of unneeded knives I have to have.

I carried a Buck 112 for quite some time when I was still on active duty. I bought it at the factory store in El Cajon, Ca just before they made the move to Idaho. Good, solid knife even though it is a bit bulky. That didn't matter much when you are in cammouflage utilities. The rosewood scales on mine look sharp with the brass bolsters. I felt that it was well worth the price. I still ocassionally carry it when I am hiking.

What lights are hiding under those blades?

Fenix PD35 Tac Black, Fenix PD 36r Cerakoted Flag, Fenix UC35 v2.0 Cerakoted and Black. By the way, the Fenix PD36r 1600 lumen flashlight is one of the finest Tactical’s on the market and cost me only $85 on my last purchase from Fenix-Store.

Sorry I'll have to fold. I don't own any other switch blades.

But if senate bill 140 passes in Ohio I'll be ordering a Guardian Tactical 035 otf with blue handles to carry every day. (Won't stop me from having a Buck on my belt as well.):cool::D

Really hope it does and I'm very appreciative for kniferights, Doug Ritter, Rick Hinderer and everyone else that have lobbied for it and testified on its behalf. No reason to have laws made in fear of a knife because of the way it opens. IMHO of course...

I want to try edc an old school folder for a while and see how it goes. Any one carry these classics?
I carry the 112 on my belt in a horizontal sheath I made. It is the 1st one to go with me daily and is supported by a Lakota Teal or more often a Condor 83SSG in the pocket

I used to be proud to carry Buck knives, but recently because of the sub par quality control and their terrible customer service I will no longer buy or carry their products.
