Anyone know what steel the old Blackjack BK&Ts were made of?

If I believe correctly they were 52100, but I could be wrong.

The Magnum Camp was made with 440C (bright polished finish), others with paint coating were a more plain high carbon steel.

yup, 440c according to the old advert.

lots of variants, several steels, many coatings and platings... nickel-phoshpate, hard-chrome dura-coat, epoxies, and more.

My original Blackjack Campanion is in 1095, with a very tough epoxy coat. Dunno about the others.
