I have a vacation coming up in two weeks so I have been toying around with a taking a fun looking knife. The Rough Rider Zombie Nick canoe pattern:).
I have one of those and the matching large Toenail/Sunfish. (Thanks again, Gary :) )
They are an excellent knife. If you get one (or both) you'll not regret it. However, some of your other knives may get a little jealous because they don't get as much pocket time. :)

The canoe is about as pocket friendly as a knife can get. Single spring slender, no exposed run-ups to catch on clothing, and medium sized. I just wish they had two more different blades. I'd love to see a drop point main with a ¾ length Wharncliffe secondary.

All mine are 2 spring, but still narrow enough not to print in the pocket, and don't weigh but a fraction of an ounce more than a single spring.
I also like no kinked blades required.

I also prefer two springs with no krinked blades, but for slimness, the single spring wins.

Nice pattern but not my favorite,
I've been looking at vintage knives, and the "Canoe" is not my favorite.
In MY eyes it does not flow as well as other patterns. Just my opinion.

Anyone like Canoe knives?

Understand. I guess that is why there are so many different patterns, so everyone can have their own addiction. LOL. What pattern do you like? Mike

Well, here I go again. Two more Rough Rider canoes came in the mail for my collection. I love these cheap suckers. Sorry about the poor quality pics. Mike in Missouri
Congrats on the new RR canoes, Mike!:cool: I have more canoes than any other pattern, and most of mine are Rough Riders, too. ;) I hadn't seen that "dreamcatcher" model before.

A few years back, (pre GEC) Ken Daniels had Queen build him these SFO's, 1095 carbon steel, single spring, in 4 bone colors.
The last bone and a Stag Schatt and Morgan! :D
Those are remarkable, Dave; thanks for posting the pics!!:thumbsup::cool::cool:
