Arkansas Custom Knife Show - Preview of makers and knives

Outstanding knives shared in this thread. Congrats to the winners. The competition looked pretty darn tough!

Have never been to this show but it is on my bucket list. There are always a bunch of my favorite makers bringing some of their best work with them.

Thanks for the update, Chris!

Outstanding knives shown here, for sure. Congratulations to all of the winners! Thanks for posting, Chris. Hated to miss this year. Always a favorite show to attend.

I you all could attend. The knives on the tables for the awards are even better than I have seen in years past. I just hope I got them all right.

Nothing says "I'm a manly man" like a beast of a bowie knife... and pink nail polish? Hold on a second... ;)

But seriously, the knife looks awesome and I wish I could see it in person

That blade profile just had me choke on my coffee with little shivers going up the spine! Have you posted a picture of the completed knife Tad? I'm moving from back to front. I'll take another look.:eek::eek:

I just saw that Caleb posted a pic of the knife. Great capture Caleb! Amazing knife Tad!

Despite less than perfect weather, the show went very well. There were so many amazing knives.

The new location was a hit with everyone I spoke with.

I had a great time, and hope everyone makes plans to come next year.

It was a great show! Good flow of people both days. Had a great time meeting collector and makers. Hope to see everyone again next year. I'll have to step up my game, as there was some awesome knives there.

As I mentioned early in the thread, this was my first show. Dang! What a great show! The knives were absolutely incredible and all the makers were so friendly. I put a lot of faces to the names I regularly see here on BladeForums and believe I may have made a few new friends (no small feat for me). I got a lot of thumbs-up from makers I truly respect and some very relevant advice on what I can improve with my knives.

I especially want to thank Johnny Stout who has been a fantastic mentor since I began this knifemaking odyssey. Also huge thanks to Bruce Bingenheimer who spent a couple hours with me and gave me a ton of really great advice.

I should also give huge thanks to my wife for her support of my knifemaking and her interest in the beautiful work that others are producing. She is a special woman.

With so much fresh inspiration, I can't wait to get back into the shop and I look forward to the next show.

It was a good show with the new venue. Lighting was good. Always nice to see old friends, and yes, many people stepped up their game with what they brought.

Chuck Ward and David Etchieson has done a good job all of these years with the show and I thank them. I am also looking forward eagerly to the new show promoters. They have a history of doing very well with other events.
