Hey Stacy, I think that the type of disc attachment in Jonathans post that valknut is interested in actually requires the belt to remain on the drive wheel in order to spin it. Although the two I shared (coote and hardcore) I believe are attached to the pulley and drive belt so maybe those are what you were referring to.


And I hear ya valknut, I had to go to justanswer (.com) and spend around $11 I think so I wouldn't feel guilty about asking 50 questions on how to wire up my motor when I made my belt grinder a number of years back lol. It was actually worth it though as I got the answers I needed :thumbsup:. I wish I had the electronic and mechanical knowledge/skills that most of the guys here seem to have, but nobody taught me any of that stuff while I was growing up so I really didn't have any interest until I got into knifemaking and began making my own tools and forges etc... But oh well, one thing at a time right? ;)
