Avoiding scammers using Challenge and Password

Since we all know scammers are sending fake emails to buyers.

A buyer responded to my wall for a knife I had "For Sale"

I did something I haven't done in a few decades.
Something from my Army days

Challenge and Password

Sent an Email with a C&P of my choosing

Told him to respond on page with the " WORD"

He responded with the word and I confirmed that is correct.

This is why I text my Bladeforums friends from over the years to sell and trade. I’m not getting scammed again.
