Axe, Tomahawk & Hatchet Photo Thread

Nice job on both Pegs

That little 'cruiser' is a bit intriguing...
There is a picture of an old Dayton pattern axe with the same style profile.
It was from a company that helped form the old A.A. & T..
The bit looks to be darn near identical.
The label says...

HUBBARD'S
FULL CONCAVE
LIPPINCOTT & Co.
NATURAL GAS TEMPERED
AXE
PITTSBURGH, PA

I have always kept my eyes out for one of those, but have never seen one.
Could this actually be an old HUBBARD'S

Thanks, Bear. Where is that picture?
Your welcome Pegs :)

Whoops, I forgot to add that...
It's in 'Axe Makers Of North America'.
I don't know if it will turn out or not, but I will try and get a pic of it on the phone in the daylight and post it.
It'll have to be on Thursday though, were going into town tomorrow.

My third TT Kelly Perfect (1 is on loan to a friend).

36" ash handle brought down to about 34"s.

Wonderful. 34" is a good length for bucking (for a 6'0" man).

I'm jealous of your local handle source. I'm about ready to break down and make a few more for myself. I peeled an elm log yesterday for this purpose.

Very cool!

I can't seem to find a boy's axe for the life of me. I hope this flea market season will be kind to me:)
