"I'm commin' 'lizbeth, it's the big one."

I think I might not be havin' the best of influence on da boy or could it be the other way around.:p

Is that jigged bone? Damascus? Who is DH? The Gigone Barlow-in-Residence is very nice but Gigone did not provide any details. :D

He's in clandestine mode is all. He just needs to bring it down a notch or two and he'll chime right in with the facts. :p

That Barlow-in-residence is looking mighty fine. Terrific lines and harmony of materials.

The maker is Don Hanson (the Thirded). :D

What I'm told, it's one of Don's early slippies. I'm not sure if that means he made it early in the morning, it can only be used in the AM or if it's circa 1996. :p Damascus is Don's and the scales are jigged Pakkawood.

DH duh, must of been a while back. I don't see a fish anywhere.

Good God Y'all!. What a fine mess of Barlow knives you guys have recently posted.. Just catching up since I last posted in here and thanks to the likes of: Thawk, ea42, waynorth, Blues, and GigOne my key board is wet with my proverbial drool once again...

That's a beauty. Tony's got it's mate in stag. Great knife.

Gentlemen, Very nice Barlow exhibits. I can only humbly submit these as these are what I got.....(the limitations of being a specialist)....300$s

I posted this up in the Bose sticky a while back but since "The Barlow Thread" came alive again, I thought it appropriate to post it here too. Tony has donated this Barlow to the NKCA to be auctioned off at the Blade Show as a fund raiser for the National Knife Museum.

I've shown this one before in another thread but thought I should add it to this amazing barlow thread. Bill Ruple is the maker.

I couldn't stand it anymore! Looking at all these barlows made me want one. There was a Gun & knife show in town, and I traded for this one today. I think I'll add this to the EDC rotation.

here's a really well made sheffield barlow. carbon steel blade with rosewood and brass.

Here's my only barlow, just recently picked up from LarryM. It's a Case 6143. I didn't realize it was so big, as you can see it dwarfs a Washington dollar.

Not expensive, or particularly well made, but I was thrilled to add it to my collection. And to this legendary thread.

It has aged well. Still has some of that cheap green grease they used.
