Becker BK9 Original vs Ka-bar?

Hello all, I have an older Becker bk9, and have noticed that now ka-bar makes them? Mine doesn't have ka-bar stamped on it. What is the difference between the two? Same metals, etc? Thanks

welcome to the forums... lots of material here! start with the older postings to get a feel.

the basic answer is: your blade was made by camillus. they went under. Becker moved to KaBar. there are slight differences in materials (thickness), and heat treat, and such. nothing major really. Becker Becker Becker.

the new BK-09s comes with a BK-13 Remora mini-neck knife. check out the photo posts - there area LOT of photos here. lots of posts with BK-09 in them too.
