Best paracord survival bracelet? -firesteel, tinder, scraper and sling

You could drill a hole down the center of the ferro rod and string it like a bead in place of the striker plate and fasten the bracelet with a button shaped striker. The striker could be similar to a WWI dog tag or large uniform button with a squared off edge. That way you could strike a spark without taking it apart.

Lucky that was my runner up idea. Ultimately I didn't want to be striking sparks against the bracelet, it was cleaner application of jute "my way" and I liked the striker as a center piece with I'd tag option. I'm glad to make the other way for a special request though

Either way, you've got a great idea here. It would be handy to be wearing one of these if a guy ever found himself in a tight spot out in the woods. Well done.

for those who don't like the toggle on the inside of the wrist (bottom of wrist where you take the pulse), you could probably relocate the striker to be closer to one side rather than in the middle of the bracelet and then wear the toggle on the outside of the wrist (edge or side of wrist by the bone). Just a suggestion, I wear all my cordage bracelets with the buckle, or knot/toggle this way, it works for me, it may work for you.

Thanks for making that point. A simple solution that can be done easily.

developments of what sort my friend? I am in production and sell them in a variety of colors if you are interested just let me know. Thanks.

Thanks buddy. I just read in the thread that you were contemplating some other ideas and wondered if you had made any changes ?

I've got the new scrapers for the BSB bracelets in part because I needed a new supplier and in another part because I wanted to address some of the best input I got on my original design. They are a slightly larger (1/8" wider and just under 1/2" longer than the original). This will allow a more realistic size palette on which to have a local shop engrave personal information. Also more to work with for those wishing to put a cutting edge on one side. The finish is polished which would be more effective for use as a reflective signal. They scrape firesteels every bit as good as the original which is the most important factor!

Also, I've acquired green jute. This picture shows it with a black bracelet. I've got my eye on more jute colors so I can have one for each outfit (joke!)

Guys, please don't turn this into a sales thread. This is the wrong place for that.

Thanks
