I'm in the market for a new lighter, anyone have a recomendation? I'm not looking for a firestarter, just a good reliable lighter to enjoy a pipe in the woods.
Cheers.

What is your altitude? I find a plain old bic or zippo works best
Yeah, that's a good color. I'm almost pulling the trigger on a Brunton Firestorm ==>> http://www.brunton.com/product.php?id=6
It looks like it's built like a tank.

I heard that most high-performance butane lights don't work well with cheap non-filtered gas like the Ronson. You need premium (3x filtered) gas to work long-term.Have one worked for a couple months then hasnt reliably worked since
I love Zippos and Bics, But I need a blowtorch style, butane-fueled, maintenance-free and waterproof.
Keep in mind that pipe enthusiasts always generally recommend a soft flame lighter to protect the bowl and cake from unwanted heat.
