The thread has been closed, now we are just waiting for the ones that were sent out for stabilizing to come back.

Lots of really nice pieces in this batch. This is all natural wood. It has not been stabilized. Some pieces may have open eyes or small voids that may require minor fills if any fall in your handle area. This is all really nice wood at reasonable prices.

US Shipping is $2.50 for 1 block or free if you get 2 or more. Canada Shipping is $10 for up to 3 blocks. The rest of the world is $12 for up to 3 blocks. My address to make payment through paypal is itsaburl@hotmail.com.

When you decide which ones you want, just post "I'll take #s ......" and I will mark them sold for you. We are so sure you will love this wood that it comes with a No Questions Asked, Money Back Guarantee.

Blackwood Burl and Ziricote.
The blackwood was a real surprise when I sanded it and found an area of burl and contrasting gray coloring. The ziricote is cut quartersawn to give the landscape effect in the grain.

Stabilized and cut please,

I will send these with my next batch going to K&G next week.

I'll take 558 and 560.

Mark, do you recommend the walnut or maple burl be stabilized?

I was sober for 5 days, then you had to come out with this huge batch. I feel like I should be meeting you on a dark street corner somewhere to pick up the "goods".

You got a lot of nice looking stuff there, Mark

It is a judgement call on the stabilizing. I think the maple is fine natural but I am slightly leaning toward stabilizing with the walnut burl. West coast walnut is not as hard as the eastern stuff.

I think it was Nick Wheeler that called me a dirty rotten burl dealer, preying on the weakness of unsuspecting knife makers.

Okay, let's stabilize the maple burl then. I have enough wood to keep me busy, so there's no rush to get either of them.

*edit* nevermind, excuse my laziness.

Not to insult you but are you sure that is Zircote and not Bocote?
I always thougt Ziricote is more grayish then 'golden'
Or am I completely wrong?

No offense taken. I looked at ziricote and bocote side by side when I picked out this piece. I just bought it on a whim because I thought it looked cool and wanted to use some on a knife for myself.

Definitely Ziricote. Before sanding it showed the normal gray and black. After sanding and giving a light clear coat it shows a bit of an amber hue. Might just be a weird piece.

Alright Mark,

Pick me two of the koa stump blocks please.
Have them stabilized please.
Shoot me a total.

Thanks, Greg
