BK24 vs. Izula

No, it's not a comparison of ESEE's fine knife with the all time great BK24.
It's an actual izula ant, a bullet ant, checking out my knife.
Beautiful creatures, but they hurt like !!!!!! (..got stung once, and now they make me very nervous).

..and here is closer shot of the ant (still slightly out of focus):

Nice picture. I gotta admit, clicking on this my first thought was "haven't we hashed this out already?" lol.
 
The photo is from a few months ago in Manu, Peru.
As, I mentioned recently in another thread, the D2 of the BK24 hold up very nicely to tropical humidity (and sap, and mud, and sweat, and deet).
By the way, if you ever find yourself wondering, "is this an izula/bullet ant/bala/Paraponera clavata?" the second photo shows the yellow hairs on the front legs and the fiddle shaped abdomen characteristic of the species.
