You named two very important good things that the ADA does, and then ditched concrete examples in favor of building up a strawman to beat up. That’s your prerogative, but don’t expect it to be convincing to anyone except people who feel the same way as you.It has gone far beyond access ramps and bathroom stall to impact every aspect of our nation at an enormous cost.
Counter point- in China children with disabilities are such a detriment that they given up to wither away in orphanages and succumb to their diseases or live very short lives as beggars… and that’s if the baby isn’t left to die somewhere. Some members of my church have adopted some of those kids.
Good luck competing with that kind of inhuman devaluation of life to drive down manufacturing costs.
