I got my Pre Shipment notification and tracking number on December 30, but so far it hasn’t been scanned anywhere by USPS. I hope USPS hasn’t lost it. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
Ok, thanks!Nearly everyone.

ThanksIt seems to be happening, at least to me JohnCrappie71 , more and more often. It used to be that if you bought tracking or it was included in Priority Mail, Ground Advantage, Parcel Select, etc. that a package was scanned at every distribution center it passed through but then the USPS started using a fee for tracking at a cost and basically only scan a package intermittently. Hopefully your package will show up soon.
I certainly give most credit toLet me make this clear to everyone....it is KevinSpark who does all the work.
I reckon it would be like to a high wire act ...the decison making alone and then liasing with GEC with the added pressure of time....the only safety net....a few diehards who hold the blanket by coughing up the dough early....terrifying if you think about it...for a normal person but we are in the presence of ...in a word A Hero.
As for my humble self I merely make up stories based on the Porch conversation in the lead up to the forum knife ( checks back of hand and manicure)...I admit
Tis not an easy task...more of an adventure in journalism if you will...I throw in a few tech details to describe the knife and Yes ..I'll be honest...condensing it all into some 200=215 words is very difficult...it takes a lot of time,a lot of skill,a lot of careful thought and a tankerload of beer....But you know..in my own unfailingly modest and self deprecating way....Yes I do believe that my efforts have helped keep the annual Porch knife tradition alive ...aside from all that metal grindiing, bone jigging cutlery stuff.

Notice on USPS site. Whatever happened to the post office saying from my youth? Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds
Major winter storm impacting delivery

Please allow additional time for final delivery of your item.
This. I'm in the same boat. No update this morning.Nearly everyone.
These days USPS tracking is hit or miss. Mostly miss. Mine had two updates, when it arrived into their system and when it arrived at my mailbox.I got my Pre Shipment notification and tracking number on December 30, but so far it hasn’t been scanned anywhere by USPS. Not much of an improvement on my end, unfortunately. I got my shipping notice on the 29th, same as you, but apparently, the USPS can't seem to cross three states (I'm in Florida) in the 9 days* it's been, so I'm just hoping it's not lost in the shuffle somewhere at some USPS sorting facility. As of just now, it's still listed as "Preparing package".Mine went from notice on the 29nd, then crickets until out for delivery on the 2nd.
Of course after they delivered it they went back and retroactively added 4 stops between label created and delivery that absolutely were not there before actual delivery on the 2nd.
Sadly this is actually an improvement, since they usually say it was delivered in the tracking only to actually deliver it the next day.
They get confused on all the flat straight highways down here that are not covered in ice and snow. Not much of an improvement on my end, unfortunately. * One of which was a Federal Holiday, sure.
As a Cowboy Action Shooter, I thought the story was really neat. May make it to my pocket at a shoot someday.I certainly give most credit toSpark , but you, Sir, added such a wonderfully written testimony and story for our 2024 forum knife. I acknowledge it and I say, "Thank you." It's a beautiful knife. ~ Rob
