Some of these were not created this year but I don't believe they ever were posted before this years as it is this year that I acquired them.

#1 DE Henry -- Schively English style Bowie

What maker more made the traditional Bowie a star among makers and collectors that did DEH? Although this piece was made in 1976 it stands out as a brilliantly executed Bowie which will last over the decades still to come.

#2 Harald Moeller - Bowie

a piece I previously owned and finally got back into the fold having been created about 33 years ago but shown for the first time in BFC this year with engraving by Roland Robidoux. Harald is a master in his finishing techniques and work then and now is exemplary and can be seen in a couple more examples which show his wide talent as a maker.

#3 Bradford Michael Price style Bowie by Harald Moeller and engraved by Bruce Hutchison

#4 Fighter by Harald Moeller and engraved by Bruce Hutchison

While I call this a fighter, many of the current contestants seem to fall into this category also which as in the past has been permitted, I present this fine example of the Big Bear for consideration.

#5 Curt Ericson -- Fighter and engraved by Julie Warenski

#6 Brian Chovanec - Basket Guard Bowie engraved and embellished by the maker

this piece is not only made in 2014 but again first presented here within the past couple weeks and is an outstanding piece of workmanship by Brian, an Australian knifemaker. This piece took 4 month to create and has a wood case/box that is a work of art in and of itself having been hewn from a single piece of walnut. Sterling Silver, Bronze, copper and Brass with EVERY piece of the knife, sheath, box including the hardware done by hand by Brian. This is truly a treasure for the ages. Already for me it like all the others are truly winners as like STeven proudly says "I own it (them)".

Share such an event is always a great moment of happiness. Thank you Roger and Blade. My preferences are huge but my favorites are.

3/ "MY BOWIE KNIFE" BY ERIK MARKMAN

4/COTTONMOUTH BY SCOTT MC GHEE

So much awesomeness. Thanks gents. That Adrews Tembo is really something.

parfums95 - the Lurquin / Paranee Tsavo has already been nominated. Love the big honkin' integral DesRosiers.

The Lin Rhea Southland bowie is epic.

Dave Lisch's dragon damascus ranks among my all-time fave patterns.

Lorien my friend and Best Bowie teammate - I'll be looking to you to help with the voting for finalists and then to run the final vote thread yourself as last year.

These are all amazing and unique. I think Coop has the right idea to narrow criteria in his own mind, Otherwise an impossible task to choose.

Erk! Ok, I'll do my best, buddy :)

I'll be away from the computer for a couple of days starting tomorrow, be back on the 30th and after to run the finals.

Wow, you guys have already tagged the ones I was going to... There's some awesome blades out here, I'm not excited to have to try and vote...

There's only three I'd add to this...

hey man, #3 was already posted. Sweet knife for sure, but seeing as I have to tally votes, please take it easy on me and make sure you guys ain't double posting contestants!

I love this thread. :D Roger: Thanks for this, as always!

Truth be told it's a Gallery, and the finest artwork (read: images) may dominate. There are some really captivating examples

Cellphone shots or small images stand at a SEVERE disadvantage. You have one chance at making your fave stand out. Use discretion.

This said, posting too large of an image can't display the entire knife. Scrolling to see a knife is as lousy as too small an image.

I have more than a few unseen entries, and I'll gather them soon.

Joe: I'm liking the Musclecars vs Classics, myself. ;)
