Great idea for a thread! You caught me on the first Sunday in a while when I didn't make ribs though. I've found it's a surefire way to get all the kids (18, 18, 20 y/o) home for a nice dinner (and even some of their friends find their way over). Unfortunately I didn't snap any pics of the meat, and I dare not try to get one of the finished product less I be left with a pile of empty bones before I even get the chance ;) , but here's a shot from last week as I made some in my humble (though tried and true) Weber Kettle.

It’s actually been a while since I’ve done ribs. Been doing briskets and butts most of the time.

The weber kettle is a classic. It’s the buck 110 of smokers. Great at everything!

Look forward to seeing some ribs next weekend!

I used to try making bbq sauce from smoked tomatoes and onions. Had a very unique flavor but most wouldn’t call it bbq sauce, at least not a traditional sauce.

Made it for the first time with ketchup today and it’s so effin easy I’ll never buy bbq sauce again.

Not a better way outside a dedicated rig. Here’s some I did a couple months ago for the guys at work. I had an inkosi in my pocket. View attachment 2357107View attachment 2357108View attachment 2357109

Did ya miss ya Lang?
When doing a dozen racks, yep but to fire up 3 briskets or 6 butts it not too bad this way. You have to rotate racks when doing this many on a kettle.

Oh and I have a great ketchup and bourbon bbq sauce recipe if you are interested.
