Blades upon Books - Traditionals

Safe travels my friend :) That looks like some interesting reading 😎 I can't believe how similar those two knives are 😳
Thank you, Jack. I hop on a plane in the morning, will be taking that book along. Will put a SAK or something in a checked bag for the week. I’ll still “Like” knife pics when I get a break from work meetings (not while in work meetings - I know what I said there).

I agree, the 301’s are very similar, I linked the BOTM thread below. Eight times out of 10, I reach for the forum knife, and to me that year was a terrific forum knife experience. The BOTM has been handled and olied, so the micarta isn‘t washed out, like these older pics suggest, it does look good. Forum knife is CPM-154. BOTM is 440HC.

..........read these books a very long time ago - very dear to my heart having been born/brought up in East Africa.

Mark and Delia had an experience in Africa that is no longer possible, it's a treat to dive into the pages and get lost in the smells, sights n sounds out there...

Delia Owens went on to write Where the Crawdads Sing :cool:

a Nontron navette for a studious monday !

Just got this yesterday, so no review yet. I enjoyed the movie even though it took prodigious liberties with the facts. It did make me want to read the book. When I first looked for this book, it was only available used and was extremely overpriced. This one was published in 2013. It includes pics. I'm not sure if it includes all the pics from the original or just some of the pics. Looking forward to reading it in any case.
