BM Stryker OWNERS ONLY need apply ...

I currently own a BM Stryker in the new configuration! It holds up well against my Specwar and CQC-7! The Stryker has a better gripping G10 surface than the others! It is cheap as compared to the others listed above and serves me very well!
Thanks,

Corduroy,

DON'T grind that tab off! Email Steve Harvey, I think he told me once that he did that with his old Stryker and the blade DOES go past the dentent! He wasn't quite sure though if the blade bottomed out or not.

Harv, buddy, if you are out there lurking, need your input from your past experience in performing this move

Hi Mark,

Yup, been there, done that. As soon as you grind that tab off, you find out what its purpose was. It keeps the blade from closing past the ball detent and bottoming on the spacer.

I didn't find it to be a big deal, but if the blade was squeezed closed all the way onto the spacer, it was even harder to get to the thumb disk.

The updated ones have all that sorted out though. No more need for that little thumb disk stop with the stop pin in the new models. Great little extreme use folder. Mine happens to have a very good liner lock that passes all the tests, so with the M-2 blade, I consider it quite the better of its peers like the Emerson. I think you have to go to a REKAT Pioneer to get a stronger small folder.

Thanks, guys. That's what I needed to know. It looks like the tang is meeting the stop-pin also, but I'd rather leave the obnoxious tab than grind it off and be sorry.
