Hi all first post thanks for the add.
I have refound this axe head that I had got from my grandfathers place about 30 years ok. It’s when my oldest son (25) the other day asked to borrow my axe. That I thought I would have another look for it and found it. I haven’t been able to find it for about 20 years lol.
Can anyone share any information on it. I know it’s from a 1930s catalogue but not sure if it’s a ‘Tasmanian’or a ‘Cockatoo Yankee’.
Also any tips in restoring it would be great. Will have to work out how to post some photos

Pics didn't post properly.
If it clearly says 1565 then it's a cockatoo Tasmanian square poll
1571 it's a cockatoo Tasmanian round poll.

The 1564 with bevels is a beauty must be one of if not the only Tassie patterns with bevels. I've never seen another and I'm from Australia. They must be exceptionally rare though I've seen 1 at 5lb go for a small fortune and that's it.
