Just got this one from Bret today. It's a slimmed down version of the T Bose hunter pattern, small game hunter if you will, although it's still perfectly capable in the deer woods. D2 steel and some great stag with red liners. About 7.5" OAL.

Edited to add in my thanks once again Bret! I'll be sure to put it to use.

Here are 2 of my favorite Dowell knives. The Proto was one owned by Mike Helberg and I fell in love with the stag covers. Thankfully he was willing to sell it to me.

The second is a Gents knife Bret built for me.

With deep snow and hunting pressure, the deer move to lower elevation and seek out the real thick stuff. This is the result sometimes. 250gr copper muzzleloader slugs claim small trees:
