Brown and Tan micarta ?

Looking again I guess they are different but the tan actually looks a little darker than the brown ?
 
The first link you posted was for my EWOK and the micarta is quite a bit lighter in person than in the pic. The brown micarta in the other link looks noticably darker.

I may have to order something with the brown micarta just to make sure. :)

EDIT: Looking around this site and John's website, I see no mention of "brown" micarta except in the thread you linked. Maybe they ARE the same.

Wow, that tan is FAR lighter than mine. It almost looks like a butterscotch.
I think we should all get together and compare them in person.

LOL, that's right, to me that looks like natural micarta.....no wonder I'm confused !!!!!:D
 
This is slightly OT, but CBryant, that extended AK with the green Micarta is dead sexy. What an awesome knife!

It is damn sexy! I think this is one of the nicest blades I have seen from John, though I'm a bit partial as it's mine !
