buck knife buddy's 110?

Dave, I am a (USA MADE) knife lover and would be happy to get one 110 Buck folders I am reading here about (please let me know price). I always wanted a buck when I was a kid and never did get one. Now that I am older, I have gun/knife collection that’s fulfilling. I just bought a 110 and a 503 (both made in the USA! ) from Wal-Mart, of all places, for $45. Let me say they are heavy and feel great in my hand. I have been busy buying other knife brands and forgot about my Buck knife dreams until a few days ago. Luckily I found these two beauties to rekindle my fire. Hope to hear from you soon! My email onado2000@aol.com

"i did talk for a little bit with his boss Liz"

I'll bet she will help. She called me yesterday about an issue I had with an order and we talked for probably 30 minutes just about life in general. She seems like a real sweetheart and really wants to take care of the customers.

You can add me to the list of folks who would take at least two.

welcome back to Buck ownership onado!!!!!!
nagamitsu, watch this thread to catch what happens next..

Plumber'
well we have a number that would like one..
she is a nice person and i hope she calls me on this..

what i did ask her about was a technical question,,

is it possible that the new 486 blades will fit in to a
110 frame... i looked and to the eye it seems close !!
both are standard production items
IF it it will inter change i think that would be a killer Buck Friends Forever knife
and nothing but pulling blades from one bin to another for less then an hr
i for one would not mind the blade saying 486 in a a 110 frame ..
this would be some thing extremely unique..
it could even lead to the custom shop offering the new shape blade in 440hc only
again i dont know.. any thing is possible..
and thanks for asking her about it also..

A drop point 110 would be very cool. I have a 112 with a drop point blade, but no 110's.

i would call it a spear point..
to me a pure drop point would have the curved back side
the new blade has a flat topside as did the liner locks and
the chip flint , although those are hard to tell ..
and yes if it fit it would most likely be a
good seller in a 110 or 111 frame..

Dave,

I don't know if you saw this response but I think you also asked this question in this thread.

The rocker (back spring) on a 486 is the same component used on a model 110. The blade is a 110 blade that has been modified, thus the basic mechanics of a 486 and 110 are the same.
