I have been told, after I inquired about when it would be shipped, that my Buck 172 will be shipped tomorrow by priority mail. Looking forward to handling and checking this one out.

I'll have to wait a little longer than the rest of you guys. My Buck/Mayo is being shipped to a USA address, and then will be forwarded to me. I'll be curious to read everyone's impressions while I'm waiting.

The knife is on Bucks site now - no pics yet.

What is confusing is that in the text it reads that the blade is 3 1/2" - in the overview it reads 3" - and on the forum we are told its 3 1/4 ".

So I think it will be somewhere bettwen 3 and 3 1/2

I got home, and it was there waiting for me.

Blade length: 3 1/8 edge length, 3 1/4 total blade length.

Blade thickness is 1/8"
