Any thoughts on the Buck X tract multi tool?
I'm looking for something that can be good for a bit of fishing and maybe even gut a fish from time to time, using the pliers to pull out the hooks if needed.

How does the knife compare to that of a small knife like the mora? Obviously, the mora is much better for chipping wood and the xtract couldn't be used for batoning...

I own and have carried a xtract for a few years now. The knife is an excellent cutter, but is nowhere comparable to a mora. The pliers would be the equivelant of a SAKs pliers. Theyre not useless, but they're hard to get a grip on, are slippery, and arent very strong as far as being able to grab and hold on, because of how stubby they are. Look at something else for fishing, i use a fishermans kit made by rapala. Comes with a fillet knife, pliers, forceps, a sheath for the knife and a seperate one for the two pliers, a hook sharpener, a cruddy (to me) knife sharpener, a plano like tackle box & nail clippers. Look it up.
