I have a bugout 1st production run coming bnib condition. Wanted to see if that’s something I should keep as a collectors piece or let it be a user. Do first production runs increase in value and are they in demand by collectors?
i have a 490 & a 698 first production that both get used. in fact the 698 is one of my favorite box cutters at work.
i think that them being fp is cool but it doesn’t add any value for me other than that. i won’t buy a knife unless i intend to use it, otherwise what’s the point? however some people do collect first production blades, tho i don’t see such a new model being worth enough extra to keep it pristine.
Thanks, i got it in a trade. Would probably sell it if it’s worth keeping pristine. I don’t like having knives I feel like I can’t or shouldn’t use as well. Thanks for the info.
