The rpm range is what I was wondering about. It hadn't occured to me that they would make a deisel that was meant to run that fast in its normal operating range. I would have expected a more traditional engine, and something along the lines of the (somewhat) new infinitely variable transmissions.
I started drooling when I saw the pic of them machining the intake for it too! To machine that out of a solid block like that.....just think of the fun you could have with a machine like that
Those Gyrene KLR's run on JP8, which is what everything else in teh USMC runs on. Great for forward-scouting and availability of fuel and such. :thumbup:
