butterfly knives

Hi,
I just found out today that the federal govt. banned import and or/sale of all butterfly knives,
# of my major distributors have none in stock and don't plan on having any more because of some new ban classifying them with switch blades????
Any news on this??

I guess the distributors are getting some sort of scare into not carrying them or importing them all of a sudden...i bought up a bunch from one that a few left...i think in a couple of weeks there will be no more or very scarce at the least...and you are right about it being an old law from what i've heard..guess the feds are pressuring the importers ??
