Carothers Performance Knives, Use & Abuse. Take 2

Anyone else sad this knife did so well…? I’m gonna have to work harder to get in the Friday sales.

Congrats Nathan the Machinist Nathan the Machinist for making the only knife that is close to being indestructible and can still be used as a cutting instrument.

It’s a good thing he beat the crap out of the edge early. He almost cut his femoral during the tip test. That BFK wasn’t going out without a fight.
 
Mr. Carothers. I apologize ahead of time, but I’ll be the idiot on this thread for arguments sake. I know that there is things to learn about the test yada yada yada, but to keep it simple with all things being equal (steel, heat treat and etc) he did not show anything but the obvious. It showed that the thicker the blade for any given length is harder to break. After attempting to cut a nail on top of wood or sheet metal proved to me that this fellow does not qualify to test anything. I’d rather you send him the protection which was a nice gesture and thrown the knife in the creek. I mean no disrespect to Joe x, but what a waist of a knife for common knowledge.

The level of careless degeneracy has it's own novelty though. He's doing stuff we would likely never do with our blades.

Not Nathan but I think Nathan might have wanted to prove a point

BFK and FK3 were designed for normal tasks not a bash test... even through the test it did really well!

With the prototype he tweeked a few things to be made for a bash test and it did awesome.... just shows Nathan might actually know what he is talking about lol

Not only that, but it took the wind right out of Joe's follower's hater-propelled sails.
