Recommendation? Case large stockman

Didn't mean my remarks to be critical to you Just my thoughts as I stated. Heck, my biggest cimplaint is finding a classy sheath to go with mine.
No worries Ed! I didn’t interpret them as critical. I just wanted people to be aware of the issue, and I truly appreciate all the feedback. Lance

I like CV or CS steel. Stays sharper longer. Not that I use mine hard. I can easily use Case's SS without and issue. What I really like about the CV steel is the patina it gets from use. Makes it look older.
Like it is a hard used knife. Since I am disabled and don't use them hard anymore. Makes me feel good to see my knife looking used. I know this sounds ridiculous. But when you are disabled it is hard on
you mentally because of what you can't do anymore. And anything that helps you deal with it, helps.

But might I suggest that you could easily get a used USA 80T on ebay. I got my son a China made 80T since mine was my Dads. So he has one like his Grandpas. It's okay. But I would go USA made from ebay.

If you actually use your knives for actual work. The CV or CS steel with keep an edge longer.

Another CV model to show the patina.

Will, you’re probably correct that I should’ve returned it. I did send Case a respectful email to make them aware of the situation. It’s been three days now, without a response. That’s almost more concerning to me than the initial issue. Everyone makes mistakes, but it’s how you respond to them that defines you. Thank you for chiming in. I always enjoy your content. Lance
For anyone who might be interested, I did receive an email back from Case, after four days. So, in all fairness, I thought that I would post it here. IMG_8522.jpeg

AI used to mean something else in my youth..... but still scientific :D
I'm with you, Will, on the meaning of "AI". As someone who grew up on a dairy farm in the 1950s and 1960s, AI will always have "Artificial Insemination" as its primary meaning for me. (One of my favorite James Herriot stories of his time as a Yorkshire veterinarian is titled something like "The Bull in the Bowler Hat", which is a hilarious tale of the early days of AI. 😁 )

Some great looking knives here for sure , now I'm thinking probably a large stockman in carbon and a medium stockman in ss , since the medium isn't available in carbon here in Canada as I can find , Blades Canada warriors and wonder. Not only do ya have some great knives, there is some great photography as well
So. 🤔
Did you make the buy yet??
Inquiring minds want to know!! 🤩
John 😁

I've been visiting some friends in California, and I was able to get a few photographs.
