I know why the Chicago is called the Chicago, with blade length laws and all. But why was the Cat given the designation "Cat"?

from spyderco

Why do knife companies apply animal names and descriptions to their knives? In our defense, the Spyderco round hole and super sharp edge are reminiscent of eyes and claws. Think cats. Cats represent a highly developed level of predatory resourcefulness, sleek sharp claws and efficiency.
So, we combined cat-claw sharpness with a carbon fiber handle and Michael Walker LinerLock®. It cuts like a lion and looks like a supermodel.

so that is why it is called the Cat, :D
