The handle on the Bhojpure khukri my wife gave me for Christmas (Atlanta Cutlery) was cracked about half its length on top. I'd intended to send it to Terry Sisko for a new handle and some edge repair (will still do the edge repair), but I waited too long and now re-handling there is not an option. Next best (I thought) might be to order one of the handle blanks from AC, since they're supposed to be of about the same vintage. Ordered two, just in case....
When they arrived, one was so poorly carved and twisted it immediately went into the garbage can, the other is pretty bad but might be salvagable. I wasn't expecting pristine wood, but just be wary if you order any from them. It may or may not be usable.
