Civilian Combat and Canp knife

Here are 2 knives I have almost ready to go out. The small 5" Combat is what I call the civilian modle. The other one is my 7.5" Camp knife.
The sheaths need the edge cleaned up in the pictures but thought these would make a good post.
Both 0-1 with Micarta.

good looking knives, what kind of finish is that?

Its what I call a working etch finish. Sort of prestains the Carbon steel so when it does stain with use it sort of just blends in Plus its not glossy, which I like.

Nice work! Is the civilian sheath meant for horizontal carry in either direction, or are the straps meant to piggy back on the camp knife?

the straps are so it can be worn up, down, right or left. Simple but effective
