How do you string them, red side up or white side up?

I havent used one for a long time but I used them white side up. Ran the line through both metal loops top and bottom.

I always did it like this.

It depends where I fish; the White River: red side up
The Red Sea: white side up.

I always felt the design was for the white side up! Yes you have to pin the line on both ends if you don't want the bobber to slide when you cast. I tend to use the foam and wieghted ones now, but I bought 50 of the plastic red and white ones of Ebay for $6.....

weighted side down.

just toss one of the red white bobbers in the water, if you see the white side floating up on its own, thats the side you use. if not, your line will twist.

I always just wrapped the line around the pin in the red side and double looped it so it didnt slip, thus making the white side up...
