Just wondering, in your knives, when it is closed, where the blade sits in the little slot, how do you clean in there?

this is a real annoyance for me as i get done cleaning the knife and there is the lint (my EDC) still in there

any comments or help appreciated

High pressure air works well. Go to any camera store and get a can of air...seriously...they use it to safely blow dust off coated lenses. Sometimes you can use a Q-tip to swab the blade channel clean as well.

Cheap method is to get a book of paper matches, pull one out and use the fuzzy end.

i just grab whatever will fit and is handy. toothpick, q tip, match (paper or wood), wire, the tip of another knife...you get the idea.

as i understand it, high end slipjoint knives of days gone by would come with a special knife-pic, a thin peice of steel shaped kinda like a guitar pick, often with scales matching those on the knife. this was used to pick the lint out of the blade channel.
