Cold Steel Mini Tac Bowie

I have one, and got one for each of my boys at Bladeshow west two years ago.

Jealous of that Buck Paradigm, gotta be honest!
I’ve had that knife for a long time. Love it but couldn’t stand the spring assist. So I removed it. Its even better without it. Its has the blue/black polished g10. The picture is black and white so it’s hard to tell.

Been using the tanto at work for years. Great lightweight knife. Well thought out handle as well
I actually briefly considered Mini-Tac Tanto for EDC.

While it's generally good for EDC, it's still a tactical knife designed for self defense. Also, the "Tac" in the name bothered me so I decided to skip it for those reasons.

I opted for Drop Forged Hunter instead. It's much bigger, wider and thicker high carbon blade. And it kinda looks like outdoors version of chef knife, which is kinda it's intended purpose. And I just like it's plain look, also when I use it people don't get frigtened by it either, while they frowned at even smaller folding karambit style knife one woman's boyfriend had.
Only reactions for my knife were "That looks cool!" "Can I see it?" "Where did you buy it?".
Reaction on his knife were "Why are you carrying this thing?" "Do you want to kill someone or something?"

But, now you made me wonder how would it be like if I bought Mini Tac Tanto instead...?
Because it looks cool and it would probs do all my EDC tasks just as well as Drop Forged Hunter...
Is it's edge retention good?

You can try Cold Steel's C-Clips that attach to the sheath and then clip to your belt or waistband. I prefer to slip the whole knife and sheath loose in my pocket, but the clips do work and they are cheap to buy.

I have the mini tac tanto. Love the knife, hated the sheath. I made my own from an old kydex sheath I had. Doesn’t look the greatest but it has good retention and leaves the whole handle exposed.

What is the knife on bottom?
