Yes, I think so. I examined mine and only a horizontal cross draw or behind the back makes sense to me. A tek lock could be used, but the sheath might need to be drilled to accept the mechanism. Alternatively, it could be lashed to a belt - ugly, or you could fashion some type of kydex "G clip" for attachment.
