Am I out of touch, or has Cold Steel discontinued the Recon Scout? I was just at their web site and I can't find the RS anywhere.

Dang, I just looked at their new web-site (including a search) and I couldn't find the Recon Scout anywhere, either...

It ISN'T in the Spring 2003 Special Projects catalog either (aside from the "Factory 2nds" page), so maybe it IS gone?...

Can't find it anywhere except in the seconds section of the catalog. Looks like they are ending production of it.

buy a 'second' 
I bought a 'first', then promptly had it 'swedged', knocking off all the black paint (and 3 oz's), am now having the handle and sheath replaced (thanks R.W.)...when it's all done and said, I should have a pretty decent knife.
Or, if a person didn't want to spend the $200 for similar, they could just buy the 2nd for $50, and it'll probably work as well in the long run...
