Considering a fixed blade

I like a Hess Tiburon. Very nice knife.

For pocket carry my old Blind Horse Bushbaby in 01 steel is about the best I have in a non stainless. It is amazing and you can see the size, around the same as the SAK Farmer.

I'll second the Enzo Necker. I have one and it is stellar in 12c27. If you get the leather sheath for it, it becomes more traditional looking. You won't find much of anything sharper and and more slicey. Its in the same size range as above but a flatter handle.

LT Wright Patriot: Blade Length: 2.5", Blade Steel: D2 Tool Steel, Blade Thickness: .125", Blade Type: Spear Point, Grind: Flat, Knife Weight: 2.5 oz, Overall Length: 5.75", Rockwell Hardness: 58-60 RC, Sheathing: Leather, Tang: Full, Warranty: Lifetime against knife defects

I got the Patriot for $90 and the Coyote for $118 in early 2016. Sorry I don't have better pics of the sheaths.

Bark River Snowy River Matterhorn in A2 with ironwood scales, Hess Knifeworks Whitetail Hunter in 1095 with maple burl, Childress bird and trout custom in 440C 6 1/8 in. overall length, black/maroon G-10 handles with hand made mosaic pins.

I don't like the Hess and will sell it. I kind of like the Matterhorn, but its a bit too fancy and large and something I can't figure. I love the childress and have been carrying it around since I got it.

IMG_0162.JPG Childress have been some of my favorites, I also carry it in pocket carry, in a KSF
sheath with a Alox Swiss Army knife. Since the OP talked about carrying, I am also interested in how a horizontal carry on the belt. ENzo has also caught my eye. The pic is of my Avila fix d blade. Now how that would work for a horizontal carry would be cool to explore. As was mentioned, would it better to have a flatter handle for this kind of carry?

I should have included my GEC H733 in the photo. A great little all rounder. Just wish I had one in stainless. And that the sheath was more functional - its too large and bulky compared to the knife.

That knife and handle would work fine for horizontal carry. Flat is cool for horizontal:
