Cooking in Spider over wood fire

Hi , Loosearrow, It is just the way you describer it.You can move the rods around to add more wood,or to fit what ever pot or oven that you need to cook on. I like it better than hanging the pots .They are more stable and the lids are easy to take off and on.
You can't see it but when the spider is empty you can see how it was casted together in the middle.It is beeper than a normal skilett.

Funny you should mention that about your spider. Mine has a thick line acroos the bottom like a welding. I didn't realize that it was cast in two parts, interesting. I have seen your type of grill befoe at blackpowder rondenvouz, very useful. Nice post, Regards
