CPK Pet Thread

Radar and Kimber got a bath today, then to the Vet for some vaccinations/heart worm check, and then to the Dog park for a reward.

For a bonus Radar way reaching his front leg through the fence trying to snatch a dead bird on the other side, like a cat lol. Was pretty funny.

We brought Kobe in to the vet Friday to have his expressed.

He (and consequently we) had a very bad Thursday evening until Friday morning. (There was no telltale sign before his going into suffering mode, hyperventilating, drooling, and trying to hide under our bed for hours.) From now on, I'm just going to bring him to the vet every four to five months to hopefully catch it in time.

He's been fine since. This is the third time in a year and a half we've had to have it done. (Maybe fourth, but I think not.)

Hope Ziggy gets well soon.

Glad to hear Kobe is doing better.

It's going to be a long week for us and Ziggy.

Well, the hits keep on coming.

This morning we saw a small (silver dollar pancake) size spot of vomit near where Kobe sleeps.
He had an appetite after the walk so we fed him per usual.
Vomited again this afternoon at some point, and again after my wife gave him some white rice a little while ago instead of his usual meal.

Only thing different of late was that we ran out of the pure pumpkin we had been feeding him and substituted another brand of pure pumpkin because the other wasn't available. That started Monday, so I ditched it. I hope it wasn't tainted somehow.

Other than that, the only thing I can think of is if he got giardia after all the pounding rain we've been having stirred up all of the grassy paths along the gravel roads we walk several times daily.

He's not acting like anything's bothering him but for not keeping the food down. He seems alert and clear eyed...and not withdrawn.

I swear, there's just no letup with this stuff...

Man, sorry to hear that E! When Letty gets an upset stomach I boil a chicken breast and then mix it some with pure pumpkin. After a day or so she'll get to feeling better. Hoping Kobe gets well soon!

Thanks. I'm hoping it wasn't the other (pure) pumpkin that was responsible for the issue. We shall see. He's sleeping on my hip as I type this.
