CPKs and beer!!!!

I’ve got a liquor store near by also so anyone just have some good darker beer recommendations? I’m not big drinker but I do like a good beer. What are the darker beers even called? Dark Beers? Lol This store is cool in that you can make your own 6pack and pick 6 different beers to try.

Just went with the Guinness at the Walmarts for my grocery pick up today.

I typically like darker beers and usually don’t venture past a Nitro or Guinness.

Wanting to try something new and I’m sitting here doing the Walmart order and they actually carry some craft beers.

I usually go for Founders in the dark beers, KBS or Breakfast Stout. They have some really good seasonal flavors but I'm not sure they're available in your area. I like Modelo so I've been meaning to try Modelo Negro (dark beer), I've heard good things about it. German dark lagers have recently come on my radar, I've heard good things there too.

German Dark Lagers and Stouts are some varieties of dark beer I've tried and really liked. Other than what I listed above, I can't remember the names of any others. I blame the alcohol! 🤣

Try a German dunkel, dark but still crisp and not too heavy. I find them pleasant in warmer months still.

Some dark beer styles:
Stout
Porter
Strong Ale
Old Ale
Barleywine
Dubbel
Quad
Scottish Ale

You can look up specific beer ratings on BeerAdvocate, they are very accurate. Look for high 80s and 90s.
