Sometimes when you find a nice piece of wood....you just have to have it. And this was one of those times. I picked up a few boards of curly maple and had them cut and sent to WSSI for stabilizing.

These are some of the best...amazing curl, subtle coloring.

Large pieces shown = 1.5 x 5.5 x ~1
Small (not shown) = 1.5 x 4 x ~1

Pricing is as follows:
(from the top)

Exhibition grade (80-100% curl) = $30 for a large block, $20 for a small block

Two-tone red & tan (has curl as well) = $25 large, $18 small.

High grade (<80% curl, both brown and blonde) = $20 large, $15 small.

Sizes and prices vary...but expect it be between $20-30 per block (depending on grade too). There are two basic lengths...5.5" and 4"

Thanks!

If you still have the one on the right, I'll buy it. Please e-mail me the total price.

Thanks,

I'll double check my stash tomorrow....thanks!

I have plenty of this stuff left!

I'm not sure if I have that exact piece on the right....:(....I've since sorted and organized this stuff into categories.

I've updated the first post to reflect the new pricing.

Thanks!

Dan

Here's a pic of some knives with the different maple pieces on it - finished out.

It's hard to describe the two-tone stuff....except that it's like long flowing wavy blonde hair....
