Hello Everyone--
Thank you to everyone for all the existing information on this board. I am new to the world of custom knives and have found thes archives to be incredibly informative and educational.

I am looking to buy a top quality double action knife with a convincing hidden release mechanism and a blade size of about 3 1/2". After much research, I believe I have narrowed it down to two makers:

1) Larry Chew (Covert Spitfire)
2) Mike Sitton

Both feature hidden screw button releases. I believe the Larry Chew also incorporates some sort of slide safety. I have read many raves about the Spitfire and a few very positive things about Mike Sitton's work.

Has anyone handled or owned knives from both makers? How do they compare? I don't want to resort to flipping a coin, so any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I agree, Chewman is the way to go..............however, if you check out the thread below.....he wont be getting much done for quite a while!!!!! :( :p :(
