Dad's old knife

I am reposting this post. I am a new member and did not understand that you can not ask for knife values. I have an old knife that belonged to my late father. I believe it is from the 30's or 40's. It is a hunting knife with a 5-inch blade and 9-inches overall. It has a stag handle and a curved blade. The only stamping on the blade says Solinger Germany. I can not figure out how to post pictures on this forum so am asking if there is anyone out there who knows about Solinger knives to please contact me at: senorlatte@comcast.net all I am looking for is any history about this vintage of knife and will not ask anything about value.
